There wasn't even that much blood and I didn't see a pit.

That's because you were looking for something that LOOKED like blood when what you SHOULD have been looking for was something that looked a little more like red poster-paint and had the consistency of pepto-bismol.

In the torture chamber of the castle there was a slight depression in the floor as seen when the Crimson Executioner enters the room and walks down a step. I guess that was the "pit" of the title.

I think the title refers to the red spandex...somehow...like..."OH GOD...THE BLOODY PIT OF HORROR...AAAIIEEEEE". No, you're right. Kind of a stupid movie. But oh so much fun to watch.

By 'pit', it's referring to the dungeon. Not a literal pit.

And this movie IS stupid... but so what? It's still good.

I think it's completely stupid..... And that's why I love it! Oh my goodness! Laughed so hard! The editing is poor, the acting is awful, the props and "special effects" look like they're made by a three-year-old and the story is crap. But there's something about it that is inexplicably awesome to me!!!
