I remember this movie.

I remember seeing it when I was very young. I was in love with Jerry Lewis when I was a kid and after seeing this movie, I remember my crush grew even more. I think I've only seen it twice because they used to show it on tv but very rarely. I don't think it'll be out on DVD anytime soon either because it isn't one of Jerry's Paramount films and it's also one of his less popular movies. But I remember seeing it and I loved it. He and Tony Curtis were great together and it was nice to finally see these two good friends in a movie. I vaguely recall Jerry trying to distract one of Tony's girls who was a stewardess and trying to hit on her as well. And I remember doors slamming back and forth because each girl wasn't supposed to see one another. But that's about it. I wish they'd have it on DVD or show it on tv because I miss it. It's interesting because Jerry's performance in this movie earned him a best actor in a musical or comedy nomination at the 1966 Golden Globes, his only nomination.

I agree. This is a great comedy. Wish it was out on DVD.

Now that it's on the repertoire of TCM, you can expect to see it quite often, in it's original form, uncut and without commercials. And if you're lucky, you also get some great background information from host Robert Osborn, before and after each showing. Must say that, altough I LOATHE Jerry Lewis, I totally liked him in this movie, he's actually great when he's not acting in his his "village idiot" persona. Best thing in this film though is Thelma Ritter, who really knows how to make every line sound like a real zinger.

Yea, I remember seeing this movie when it came out in the theaters. A friend of mine seems to use the same tactics for getting women - one girl out, next girl in. He's good a making sure none of the girls meet each other.

Your friend's been lucky so far!

All the universe . . . or nothingness. Which shall it be, Passworthy? Which shall it be?

I saw the dvd the other night. Jerry Lewis and Tony Curtis were good, but it looked like a filmed stage play.
