Inspiration for George Lucas for Star wars and Empire Strikes Back

I watched this movie last night. Well half of it, fell asleep...

I am a committed Star Wars geek and I noticed 2 things in the bit of the movie I was awake for.

When the radio chatter is heard on the background on the bridge, it is exactly the same as the Imperial Recon Droid's comms when it crashes on Hoth in ESB.

When the lead characters enter some kind of tactical room, there is a huge Perspex screen with a circular grid on it just like we see in the rebel command centre in Star Wars before the final attack on the Death Star.

All of the movies were shot at Pinewood... no coincidence.
