Horrible/Unnecessary opening acts

It was obvious that producer Sid Bernstein was trying to torture the people who were at Shea by having them wait through so many unnecessary opening acts. King Curtis was great, but his music could not be appreciated correctly in this venue. Brenda Halloway was a decent 60s soul singer but also out of place here at Shea Stadium.

The Discoteque Dancers are rather pitiful and laughable by today's standards.
And so is Sounds Incorporated, another of Brian Epstein's bands. All of their screaming and shouting was embarassing and unnecessary. They probably was drowned out by the people in the audience anyway.

Finally, after like two hours of unnecessary opening acts and inane comments from Murray The K, Cousin Brucie and the WMCA 'Good Guys' the Beatles actually came on and gave a great 30 minute set. Too bad they weren't able to perform for longer.
