Two different versions?

I recently saw this movie on the "THIS" channel
and it has some different scenes from the version
that's available from the Internet Archive:

For example, halfway through the film, Mark gets humiliated
by Vicki and goes for a long walk on the beach. There he
comes across the 3 beach girls in bikinis while their
boyfriends are out surfing the waves. Hiding behind a rock
he spies on them. Now on the THIS version, the brunette
is dancing while the other two are laying on their blankets.
But in the IA version, all three are standing and dancing.
I'm not even sure they're the same girls.

Why two different versions? I mean it's a grade B cheesy
horror flic, why bother? Anyone know what's happening here?

I think the answer is the archive has the TV version, which was beefed up time wise with extra footage. There is also a version where the surfing movie the guys watch si in color. THIS ran the theatrical version.

too bad they didnt increase the run time with some female nudity, maybe a couple lesbian scenes, or a monster rape scene.
