Old Tucson is Great

I lived in Tucson from end of 1968 to end of 1972. So much work was done out there! High Chapparal TV series, John Wayne Rio Bravo and Clint Eastwood Joe Kidd, always wanted someone to do Old Tucson right, Clint Eastwood did it when he combined Lone Pine Ca. and Old Tucson. You had the Sierra Mountains and the Sahuaro cactus of southern Arizona. Those things are majestic! Do you know it takes 600 years for a Sahuaro to mature? People were knocking them down, replanting them (won't work..) finally Arizona Legislature protected the Sahuaros. Looks like Audie and the boys filmed in the winter. Appears it had rained at Old Tucson, there's mud around. I miss the place. John
