I would've liked the film if it wasn't for

the voice of Alpha 60. The panting and breathing in the background was just really annoying.

I agree; the voice effects for Alpha 60 were really distracting (the sound engineering for the film overall is terrible, which is particularly disappointing given how good the direction, writing, acting, etc. all is). I'm fluent in French, but I had to use the subtitles to understand most of what it was saying.

I thought the voice was appropriately creepy but would've liked for Godard to have used something more "synthetic". Perhaps something similar to the way Robert Vaughn's voice was used in DEMON SEED.
