Does Mifune actually have red beard in this one?
I know it is in black and white so you can't really see the colour, however you should be able to separate black from red.
shareYes, he did. The story is that the red beard is part of Kurosawa's and Mifune's separation. Mifune couldn't work on anything else for the two year production because having a red beard wouldn't have worked for anything else.
