1. Who tried to commit suicide in the second half of the film? The one who tried suicide had a father, who blamed Osugi. It is never clarified who it is? I'm guessing it's the nurse, who together with Yasumoto overheard the talk between Chobo and Otoyo, but I don't know?

2. Yasumoto had a fiancée, who left him - all prior to Yasumoto's time with Red Beard/Niide. Then her father, Dr. Amato suggests that Yasumoto go live with Niide. In the second half of the movie, when Yasumoto is getting married to Masae they sey it's Amato's daughter. So is Masae Yasumoto's ex-fiancées little sister?
