70mm Restoration print

If you ever get the chance you should not miss to see a new 70mm print of this Todd-AO film, now with DTS sound. I was lucky to be in the screening of the Bradford(GB) Film Festival's Widescreen Weekend. This is truly one of the masterpieces of 65mm photography and the restoration print is well done reaching an astonishing clarity. The plot does not search for cheap widescreen effects but the high resolution process allows you to watch every tiny detail and makes you feel to be with Michelangelo painting the ceiling.
There were three more Todd-AO restoration prints shown all with the same great quality: Hello Dolly, The Sound Of Music, Doctor Dolittle.

Is there any chance of these 70mm Todd-AO restoration prints coming over here to the states? I'd be the first in line to see any of these films.

I'm pretty sure that all wide gauge restoration prints are first shown somewhere in the states - most likely in a big premiere theatre in LA - before they are shown on festivals outside the US. See following link:

But the states are big and the question is 'When is such a print shown at a theatre nearby?'
The best way to go may be first to figure out, which would be the closest cinema to show 70mm prints. Then to contact them and ask if they intend to show the restoration prints.
If this doesn't work out, maybe there is a film festival showing 70mm specials, which is in reachable distance.
Of course 20th Century Fox Distribution should know where the prints are going to be screened, but I didn't find anything on their page in the web. But it may be possible to give them a call and get some info. It should be of some interest, that these expensive prints get some audience.
Good luck!

You guys are in luck, well kind of. Here in Austin TX, at the Paramout Theater, they have during the summer, classic movie showings. Here's the link

This year they are showing The Agony & the Ecstacy and other movies in splendid 70mm. I don't know where you guys live, but it could be worth the drive.

Great hint, thanks MrGlass!
I'm located in Europe (south-west Germany), but if Austin would be in reachable distance I'd be in the Paramount Theater more than once...
