Animated.

The animated DVD of the new three stooges is good. Has anyone seen it?

reply

Yes, have 13 episodes and watched-enjoyed 5 so far. As I don't think they have been shown on TV for a very long time, it makes them seem very fresh indeed!

I really love the animated version of the stooges. The cartoons are really funny.

reply

I found them at most walgeens stores. They're like $1.00, but worth more indeed.
They are classics.

These cartoons are horribly underrated gems! Long live the Three Stooges!

reply

For what they were, they were good. Something more to ocntinue the history of the Three Stooges. But I still have a problem with Larry Harmon's basically screwing the families of Laurel and Hardy out of any royalties with those cartoons.

reply

They are profoundly disturbing on a fundamental level that is hard to explain, with more than a hint of early ear psychedelia to the animation. Yes it's amusing and fantastic television, but the production is very very strange. I remember seeing it as a kid who worshiped the Stooges and not understanding what was going on. The best live segment is when they get hired by Mr. Hossenpheffer to make pies for his pie business.
