I never see anything about this show that I don't think of the time when Sue Ann on the Mary Tyler Moore Show lost her Happy Homemaker show. Someone at the station felt sorry for her and gave her a job doing promo voice work. One day Mary and the gang at the station are all talking about how far Sue Ann has fallen when one of her spots comes on over the air: "Stay tuned to WJM for another hilarious episode of My Mother, the Car. The fun begins when Mom gets a lube job."
