Will there be a 50th anniversary special?

September 15th will be the 50th anniversary of LIS. Just wondering--will there be a TV special? Or at least a reunion of the surviving cast?

Haven't heard anything about one but there is a Blu-ray set coming out with tons of special features and interviews with the original cast members.

Maybe ME TV will do something

Me Tv gave a little mention during a commercial break last night during LIS, but there doesn't seem to be anything planned. They could have done something to help promote the blu-ray at least.

One of the special features of the new blu-ray set is a table read (using many surviving members of the original cast) of a script that Mumy wrote, which winds up the whole "Lost in Space" story. I suppose that could be considered a fitting 50th anniversary tribute.

Decades network is running the first 2 & a half seasons this weekend. That's something.....

I'm sure their will be a a blu-Ray. But I doubt their will be much more then extra bonus cast stuff because Irwin Allen clings to the Lost in Space license and won't give it up for anything.

In order to get license to make the comic book and the movie remake, a couple people had to go to that Goliath company That owns rights to everything, I forgot the name, begins with a V... Similar to Verizon... Anyway, all that is talked about in the comics editor's page. I have all the comics I once bought off eBay. Unfortunately the guy made the comics how he thought the she show should have been and when Billy Mummy finally got his chance to tell his version it wasn't very good and the company went out of business before he could finish it. It was full of stereotypes and still had some influence from the publisher's version of what he thought the show should be.

I've been watching the show on the cbs/wcbz "Decades" channel.
