I haven't seen this show since it aired back when I was in high school. I think it was my favorite TV western and there were a good number of them on TV back in those days. It has been so long since I've watched Laredo I can't remember much about the show. I would love to see an episode again just to see what it was I liked so much about it!

I also love Laredo. It was a rare TV-western in that it featured as much comedy in it as it did action/adventure. That made Laredo standout to me since most TV-westerns are generally played as quite serious with not much room for humor. The premise of it being about the Texas Rangers also intrigued me.The rangers were a legendary law enforcement group & outlaws had little desire to go up against them. The characters themselves were terrific too.Captain Parmalee was the epitome of a leader,Reese was tough, scruffy & bellowing,Chad was a ladies man & quick draw(Peter Brown was in fact one of the fastest draws for real in Hollywood),William Smith was rugged & the top tracker of the rangers,& Eric was something else period. The chemistry between them all made the show work so well.I especially liked the upgrade in the western outfits for both Chad & Joe during the second season.Chad got the bib style blue shirt, new gun belt & hat.Joe received a sharp looking buckskin shirt with American Indian designs on it.Laredo is my favorite TV western series to this day followed by The High Chaparral.

I loved Laredo in high school! (I hate that The Virginian got scrapped from Encore's lineup, but I do like that the Western TV shows start earlier in the afternoon now.) The dynamic threesome of Reese, Chad and Joe were hilarious in every episode, as was any episode for me with Linda Little Trees. Her complete lack of expression slayed me everytime. I'm delighted that it's on Encore Westerns even if there are only 56 total episodes that can be aired....

It was a great show. I've been watching it on the Encore Westerns Channel. It definitely should have ran longer than just two seasons. Lucky for us, the seasons were a lot longer than today's shows.

What do you mean by that?

More episodes per season in the 50's & 60's. First season had 30, 2nd season had 26 and I felt gyped because it was sooo much shorter....
