I never understood why Jeannie liked lounging around in her bottle. It was her prison for centuries. It would be like a convict wanting to return to hang out in his/her jail cell.

Actually there were a bunch of episodes where she was stuck or locked in the bottle. But the reason she kept using the bottle instead of Tony's bed was due to the so--called TV morality police. But then the last season they got married, which ruined the show. By the way I met Barbara Eden and the late Bill Daily circa 2013.

She wasn’t always told to. As a matter of fact after they were married Tony and Jeannie spent time in the bottle as well.
