Too fast pace.

I just finished watching this on DVD. This was potentially a great show. Everything was in place, the only problem is that the show went 90 miles an hour. There wasn't anytime to explore relationships or build characters/. The dialogue was faster tha "Gilmore Girls". The show should have been one hour to say the least; 30 minutes did not do justice to the beautiful Ms. Francis.

What do you expect in a thirty minutes tv show? A Ingmar Bergman or Orson Welles movie? That was the point, go very fast. And I have forgotten another reason: tv commercials [like some dandy petite lady plumber selling kitchen's sink detergents]. Obviously.

I actually prefer the half hour format. The plots for one hour programs just have too much filler, particularly the shows that are supposed to be action-oriented. Of course the advertisers won't support the tighter thirty minute format because they'll have fewer minutes for commercials, even if the show were a hit.
