After the unmasking

When the Allies captured Stalag 13, and it was finally safe for Hogan to admit he was a spy and saboteur, how do you suppose his various captors--Klink, Schultz, Burkhalter, Hochstetter--would have reacted?

reply

I think the would have been quite glad they were in US/British held area znd not the Russian zone of occupation.

reply

I don't think it would have mattered to Hochstetter. As a staff officer in the Gestapo, he would have ended up hanging by the neck in either case.

reply

Hogan could have testified as a defense witness. Hochstetter never killed or even tortured any of Hogan's men/

reply

Depends on what Hochstetter did and what did he have of value to bargain with American intelligence to avoid imprisonment and possibly execution. The rest of them were getting up there in age and no doubt happy to put the war behind them ASAP.

reply

yes!

reply

Schultz - I knew nothing.
