Ann was very annoying

Exactly!! I don't know why John would let her push him around anyway and I wouldn't be surprised if John sneaked around on her but then again she has him whipped because she's so nosy, nothing gets past her. For example, the Luau episode when he did Gidget a favor by posing as her date and Ann and Russ came to the beach and embarassed both of them. Even though I liked their dad Russ, he too sometimes would interfere and mess things up for Gidget but later on realize it and apologize after he realize he hurt her feelings and she explains the situation to him and he would even be on her defense against Ann and John except for one episode when they spanked her. That was when Ann and John got into an argument and she moved back home and Gidget only wanted her own space and privacy in her bedroom which I couldn't blame with a suspicious, meddlesome, nosy sister like Ann. She tried to work on getting them back together so she could go back but it backfired and I thought the dad was weak in that situation and all he did was tell Gidget to stay out of it and why should she when she can't even talk on her phone or have friends over with nosy big sister in the room, she came in Gidet's room looking like a fifties to early sixties tv sitcom housewife (Leave it to Beaver), turned off the radio, made Larue leave and then left out of the room herself as if Gidget has to have her permission to have her friends over while she's staying there. I don't even think Ann had any friends because I can't recall seeing her with any.

I liked Ann. I didn't think she was annoying at all.
