TV Repeats?

I heard that they don't show this show on any channel anymore as reruns. Is this true? And why?

Shut Up And Listen to Majosha

reply

Dont know why, but its a crying shame.

I've heard about this show so many times throughout the years (mostly in books about Dean Martin), but, aside from clips, have never seen an episode before in my life.

I would love for this tv show to be released on DVD! I want to see ALL 245 episodes!

reply

All the episodes of this show are now avaliable on DVD! I'll be buying them!

reply

I would do anything to have this shown in reruns.

It would still be nice to have them replay on TV every week...like every Sunday night or something.

There's a story over the convoluted ownership rights to The Dean Martin Show at the URL below. That's why the episodes aren't being syndicated. You don't see that Guthy-Renker infomercial promoting Dean Martin Show DVDs any more either, because NBC-Universal filed a lawsuit in Sept. '07 that stopped sales of the DVD sets. Here's that link with much more information:

UPDATE: The lawsuit is settled, and the DVDs are back on sale.

BRING OUT SEASON THREE OF "ONCE AND AGAIN" ON DVD!

reply

It would appear that they are again available for sale, at least for the time being. Its amazing to me, that some of the most watched(by the numbers), & most popular television series of their times get lost in legalities. Then the next generations dont get to see what almost everyone was watching every week, and come to learn why they loved it so much. These type of shows, just for their cultural and historical value TO popular culture, should be aired on television, and given a chance to draw a new audience out of the younger people.

Everyone, you need to realized though that these subscription DVDs are edited and are the "best of..." Dean Martin show. I'm very interested in trying to watch this show (it's before my time), but wish there was a way to see the full episodes and not a 'best of' that I'd have to pay $10 a month for.

THE REASON WHY DEAN MARTIN'S SHOW'S ARE'NT IN RERUNS IS BECAUSE THERE NOT SYNDICATED AS IN SYNDICATION LIKE MASH IS AND THE GOLDEN GIRLS ARE!!!! THATS HOW ARE FAVORITE SHOWS ARE IN RERUNS ON CHANNELS LIKE TV LAND AND HALLMARK CHANNEL AND ON NICK AT NITE AND MANY OTHER CHANNELS LIKE THEM!!!??
