Good news for sure. Although the tweet says that he's back at the set but doesn't specifically say that he's taping. I wonder if SOD knows from another source that he's filming or just making that assumption and jump based on Dena's tweet.

According to jason47, they are still more than six months ahead on taping (they are doing episodes now for next April), so I would guess Drake will be off-screen for 4-5 months unless they film some special scenes and cut them into the episodes already completed. share
And they were renewed through next September. So if they are already in April, that means there are only five more months of new stuff if they're cancelled.
I still think it's ridiculous for them to film so far in advance.
NBC will not decide if they get renewed again until Feburary. By then, they will be filming the August and September stuff. So if they do get axed, how they do they have time to write and film the final episodes so it all ends properly? The ending will be very rushed and tacked on if NBC decides to cancel.
