Viewer reactions about the three bad guys on the loose

I haven't seen very many positive comments about this storyline on the various websites.

Most people can already see how far-fetched it is. And how the writers quickly started to drag it out.

Plus, I don't think anyone considered Xander a memorable villain. Did they?

Xander was not a very memorable character but since he departed not that long ago he has ties to a lot of the current characters on the canvas that most wouldn't. So I'm fine with him being the 3rd most important of the 3 fugitives.

I'm not minding the storyline at all. It's a soap so of course it's far fetched but I think it's given the show a reason to give us a lot of John, Marlena, Steve, Kayla, and Abe (some characters that werent being used much before this). I like that's the sort of umbrella storyline that involves almost everyone on the show and I like that it's giving families a reason to come together rather than be pulled apart in a way that we haven't seen in a while

I mean it isn't perfect but I think it's enjoyable enough. I don't hate it at all.

The bad guys needed to kill someone right off the bat. At this point I think of them as nothing more than Buffoons.

I like the idea initially, but it has been very poorly written. Even the whole escape. So they were plotting their escape to revenge Salem then out of no where Eduardo appears in the van that is transferring those three and boom they are free. Eduardo of all people. Why did he go after those three again? I fall to see why Eduardo even cared about those 3.

As for Xander, this is the first I heard.

...............ZING!

Eduardo was after the 4th unknown guy who wasn't a part of this group. Eduardo explains it all to John... something about how that was the guy who had been threatening him, so he posed as a guard and killed the random guy in the van. But when he did that, the driver got distracted and crashed the van. Then, oh - lucky coincidence! Driver is injured/dead, Eduardo isn't a real guard, fourth guy is dead, and the three stooges can just run away!

A death at the beginning would have given it too much of a grim tone off the bat. While all three men are dangerous in general, they have personalities that have lent themselves to several good jokes and moments during their tentative partnership.

If someone is really dying, I expect it to be Orpheus who takes someone down with him.

I think the storyline has been fine so far. I enjoy seeing Clyde and Xander again and my first glimpse of Orpheus. But on the normal side of things I usually think the show is fine. I'm more often annoyed by this board than I am at the actual show.

I wasn't a viewer when Orpheus was on DAYS, so his return really didn't do anything for me. Clyde and Xander were failed characters from last year's Tomlin/Whitesell run, so I wasn't thrilled that they returned.

I haven't been watching much lately, an episode here and there. I saw the wedding day hostage episode where John was shot, but whenever I put it on it is just the three of them hiding out and talking. It's really boring.

Had Orpheus shot up the wedding, and maybe killed one or two people, that would've worked for me. Grazing John's arm with a bullet didn't.

They've always reminded me of the three stooges.
