Chairs used by the questioners

I've always wondered why on DG the woman questioner always sat on a soft, button-tufted molded seat while on occasions when the male questioner got to sit on a vinyl folding director's chair. What was the deal with that? And were there ever any moments when, maybe as an April Fool's gag, that situation was reversed [say, the male sat on the soft seat]?
