The Big Valley: Reunion

I realize this would probably never happen, but I wish Hollywood would do a reunion movie on "The Big Valley". Before Linda Evans and Lee Majors pass on. I mean why not, they did reunion movies for "Gunsmoke" and "Bonanza". I would like to see a next generation of the Barkleys'. Also, what kind of episodes would you have liked to have seen, on "The Big Valley" if they had done a fifth season?

reply

I don't see pint of doing it.

Forget it!

I understand some toyed around with a reunion idea many years ago. I can't remember if it was before or after Barbara Stanwyck died, but Richard Long had already passed, and it was his son Cary who was writing the script. But Cary died about ten years ago (at 50, from heart trouble like his father) and that was the end of it, as I recall.

I don't see it happening, though it would be interesting to see Heath and Audra as grandparents, or even great-grandparents.

Yes Peter Breck was planning the reunion movie and Lee and Linda signed on. I think it was in the late 90's but it fell through.

I didn't know about the planned reunion show, man I wish they could've pulled it off, just thinking the other day how I wish there could be one, same as you, before Lee and Linda pass on! My favorite was Heath, I was in early teens during the run of the show, had a huge crush on Lee Majors! I would've liked to have seen all the sons And Audra get married before the show went off the air.

I think it'd be nice to at least have the two of them sit down together and talk about their memories of the show. A reunion otherwise would be sad seeing as everyone else has passed on.
