When exactly did Connery make this film??

Not that I've ever seen this film but looking at the box office and business data for the films Connery did round this time, its difficult to see where he fitted it in. Assuming the IMDb figures are right; Connery made:

From Russia with Love: Apr - Aug 1963 (Released Oct 63)
Marnie: Sep 1963 - Mar 1964 (Released July 64)
Goldfinger: Jan - July 1964 (Released Sep 64)

The dates for Marnie and Goldfinger could be correct even though they overlap because Connery's role in Marnie was secondary to Hedren's so he may not have been needed for the whole shoot.

I remember Connery mentioning in an interview that he had difficulty working with Lollobrigida because she was unhappy that, as he was doing back to back films, he had been unable to meet her until shortly before filming was due to begin.

This means that Connery finished one of the 3 films above and went straight to shoot Woman of Straw.

Woman of Straw was released around Aug 64.

How did he fit it in?

AND with a stunning performance from Miss Lolobrigida~

I have read that Connery went straight from Marnie onto Goldfinger. That must mean that he completed Woman of Straw before starting Marnie. I doubt he would have been on either film for more than a few weeks. Neither would have taken anything like as long as the time needed to make a Bond film.

I read as well that Connery did From Russia With Love, Woman of Straw, Marnie and Goldfinger without a break and by the time he finished Goldfinger he had been working continuously for 14 months.

The audio commentary for Goldfinger says that Connery was unavailable for part of the scene where Leiter first appears because he was still shooting Marnie. So the filming dates stated on this site would not necessarily be the dates when Connery was working on the film.

Incidentally, I've just seen Woman of Straw, not expecting it to be particularly good.

I read (again) that Connery didn't think the film was very good and that he hadn't considered the script carefully enough. I was pleasantly surprised, I really liked it!

However I would have preferred it if Connery's character had got away with it. That would have strengthened the story.

According to Variety Magazine, Woman of Straw was filmed from July-October 1963.

Hope that answers your question.

I have no idea what your source was for production dates, but your stats for Marnie are wrong. According to the DVD documentary "extra," The Trouble with 'Marnie', the first day of production was November 22, 1963, the day of the Kennedy assassination.
