I missed the begining..!

Someone help me out, would you..?

My dad told me about a movie (that might have been this one) when I was a kid, but I missed the begining of this film when I finally saw it the other day.
Is there a scene of the townsfolk killing the witch at the begining in which the witch (aren't I clever..!) tells the towns people "I will curse your familys through the ages, yadda yadda yadda"? Or words to that effect?

In a word, no. The history of the witch is discussed but not seen.

The scene you are describing in your original post is in The City of the Dead (Horror Hotel).

I was about to respond to that as well but see someone else already got it! Yup 'Horror Hotel/ City of the Dead is the movie you are thinking of and it's a pretty good movie as well. Not all versions have that beginning tho but the best one starts that way. Is free on youtube to watch now!! Definitely recommend it!

no, the film you are referring to is City of the Dead 1960 aka: Horror Hotel. the two are similar movies though.
