Actually, she looked even older than 20 to me here, but I think she gave a terrific performance. It's amazing how much Susan Hayward and Joey Heatherton look alike in this film – a perfect mother-daughter pairing.

I think she looks like Kelly Ripa. I'd like to see Kelly Ripa do a send-up of this movie. She is great at parodying over-the-top histrionic scenery-chewing females.

She may have been hot, or perhaps I was just glad to see a partly dressed female on the Bob Hope show when I was in Chu Lai in 1965.
As far as her performance in this film; "good" is NOT the word.
Joey was a talented "Entertainer" but an actress? NO
