I'm sure those idiots had to make a call like that at least 5 times a day (burying a pipeline just 1 foot below the ground in farm country!!)
shareIt was clear that Lennie had no idea an oil pipeline was buried across his property. The oil company owes him money for the lease of that right-of-way, and they are responsible for paying to clean up the mess that was made when Lennie hit the pipe. He should have told those guys to F off, then sued the company.
