Is this the movie where the hero gets trapped in a room with the ceiling descending (somewhat like Indiana Jones in "Temple of Doom")? And at the end does the blonde woman spy escape in a motorboat?
If this is the same movie, I certainly would like to find a copy of it.
I just watched this movie today and yes it is the one you remember.
There is a German dvd of it under its original German title (It is part of the 'Edgar Wallace' series, despite not being a Wallace adaptation). This has English and German audio and optional English subs. It is OOP but still possible to get pretty cheaply from amazon.de.

I like these Edgar Wallace krimis of this period. I've just watched 'The Curse of the Hidden Vault' which has some nasty millwheel scenes in an atmospheric old mill.
