What's with Ann's Finger on her nose

It looks like she's going to pick her nose for a second. It's the scene where she's dining with Caeser Danova and Elvis is annoying them as their waiter. Then when he bursts in the room singing, he's walking toward her as she walks backwards and she sticks her finger on her nose, it looks like right on the nostril. It looks weird. I never noticed it before, then when I bought the DVD about 6 months ago I noticed this - really - It looks strange - like I said... like she's gotta pick her nose. What's with that. Even if it was an accident why wouldn't the director reshoot it? Has anyone else noticed this?

I noticed that too. It is odd, but I've heard that's an old actor's trick to get you to notice whomever is not currently speaking (or singing, in this case). It's a clever way to re-direct the attention back on the actor doing it, and as we know, the only thing "theater types" want is ATTENTION!
