In his second movie Loving You, which I highly recommend BTW, there is a scene in which a girl hides out in his dressing room and attacks him for kisses, etc. Elvis pretty much plays himself in that movie and it is a very good movie, one of his best.

If you can watch this movie and not see that they were crazy about each other (or else they both deserved an Oscar !)then you must be oblivious. I think it is a shame that they did not marry (they were both technically single) but they probably knew that two stars in a marriage is one too many.

Yes, and according to his friend Joe Esposito, Elvis wanted to marry her and he regretted until his dying day that he didn't. Even if they did marry, they had different goals. Elvis wanted a more traditional type of wife while Ann-Margret wanted to focus on her career. In the end, it worked out for her. She married someone who had been an actor and wanted to go into management. She continued her career and he became her manager.
