help Identifying source of music in trailer?

The Japanese trailer features music from a few different sources, such as ATRAGON (toward the end of the trailer) and KING KONG VS. GODZILLA (when they speed through all the stars of the movie)...

but does anyone know where that music comes from when it shows all the jewel thieves getting lifted into the air? It's pretty early in the trailer, just before Natsuki shows up in the window and shows his ID.

It sounds really familiar, this brooding Cello or Bass theme over and over. I have no idea which Godzilla or Toho movie it originated from though, most likely a Toho film pre-1964.
