Obvious influence on Doctor who episode Utopia

Anyone else notice how much this film influenced the Doctor Who episode Utopia?

The accidental arrival of time travellers at the compound of the last surviving humans.
The humans are besieged by starving cannibal mutants, who chase the heroes across the barren landscape to the last human compound, where they are invited in after being rescued.
The Humans are building a huge space craft in order to escape the dying planet
The mutants are thought of as primitive, but continually outwit the humans and break into the compound
The future scientist needs the help of the supposedly old fashion scientist from the distant past
The "race" against time to get the ship in to the air
At the climax, the mutants invade the compound and triumph in battle, leaving the heroes trapped in a lab, holding the door shut against the Mutants as the hero scientist attempts to repair and use a time machine to escape in to the past
