A film so brillant you see images in your head that aren't in the film.


I'll have to watch it again just to see what was really there and what I just imagined. I do know that Ivan's father's blood really did turn into a red-tinted silhouette of horses jumping out of the frame, extraordinary.

That moment was indeed stunning. The whole film left a wonderful impression. In fact I just finished watching Ashik Kerib due to the power of SOOFA.

Exactly. I agree. Geezus. Total stream of consciousness, wonderful makes me see Tarkovsky's Mirror in a whole new way.

Agreed, finally watched this last night ( it took nearly 2 months to arrive from amazon, they must of got it from the Carpathian Mountains or something ). Simply stunning film and i cant believe it was made that long ago. I need to watch it a few more times though.
