And what seems to be 10 min. later he crashes into it. That had me in stitches. It's a shame that clip isn't on youtube.
Edit: I actually had to buy this movie for that scene. I was wrong about the dialogue but it's funny nonetheless. I'll be posting that scene here soon.

I saw this in 1964. It wasn't lost on me then, as an 11 year old, how laughingly bad, it was then. The entire audience thought it was cornball. The soundtrack played over and over in my head, how maudlin it got, during the " serious " scenes. Overacted, badly sung songs, and you just KNEW he was gonna crash into the pier !!! Hoo-Boy.....
