Needs a true release

I have both releases of this film on DVD. The AMC monsterfest double feature and the DVD-R from Sinister Cinema. Both are equally bad but still watchable. This film needs a proper release with a cleaned up transfer preferably on Blu-Ray but DVD would be fine too. This is one of my favorite movies and Victor Buono turns in a wonderful performance like he always did. The Strangler and Mr. Buono deserve to be remembered in better quality than is currently available.

This film will air once again on TCM on April 19, 2015. The image quality should be quite good. However, it aired on TCM once before, and I think that the opening sequence was partly censored.
