Crawford insisted on Pepsi product placement in her films after she married Alfred Steele. She also had Pepsi machines placed on the set and sent refrigerators stocked full of Pepsi to people. I have a book about Crawford and the author notes that when he was interviewing her, she insisted that he drink Pepsi and vodka with her. He said it was disgusting but he learned to tolerate it.

I'm one of the few people that prefer Pepsi to Coke but even I think she went overboard with it. Damn Joan, let people drink a Coke if they like it!
