Wesside_II, you appear to have confused this with STRIKES AGAIN. Other than the shooting suspect whom Clouseau thinks is innocent, all of the stuff you described happens in STRIKES AGAIN.

Back on topic, I think this is one of the most underrated comedies of the past century, and by far the funniest of the Pink Panther films. Great performances, great slapstick, great writing, great movie.
