I found it interesting that on the trivia section for this movie, they point out that is was a major influence for the moive Down With Love, yet the Down With Love page makes no reference of this movie. Down With Love lists several Doris Day moives as an inspiration, but clearly this moive is the basis for DWL. The Plots are so similar.
shareYou are right! I've seen SATSG many times and LOVE DWL and never put two and two together. I thik DWL was an "homage" to many silly sex comedies of the early 60s. These movies are all about great fashion in my opinion - the plots are nonsensical and ridiculous. Probably because of the censorship that was still around, they had to "dance around" any mention of sex, so they had silly slapstick humor and distractions and chaos surrounding the characters from beginning to end.
