Lauren Bacall...

It was kind of a mix of screwball comedy and slapstick comedy, and Lauren Bacall was trying hard to fit in. It helped that she had several great lines, but she is at her best in nearly every other kind of film but this one.

True. We watched this one last night, and found it quite a silly movie. But the way Lauren Bacall delivered some of her lines, made us laugh out loud. Her performance makes me wish she had done more comedy.
