Watching only a few minutes of this, and considering the cast, all is said about overrating (again)

The play is most dull, and graphically there is no charm.

I just see that Lancaster is pathetic at 57 mn. Sorry for the fans.

Great story, great dialogue, great acting.

Great on all counts. And March's performance is the best portrayal of a POTUS real or reel in the history of cinema bar none. Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster are excellent as always, so much so that it's hard to believe that Douglas was originally supposed to play General Scott and Lancaster Colonel Casey. It would have changed the whole tone of the film.
