This movie was dubbed in both english and italian, with both options available on the BluRay. I chose to see it with the english dub, only because most the actors seemed to be really talking in english.
The acting on the english dub however, is noticeably stiff IMO, especially by the males.
What do you think? Which dub do you prefer?
Well most of the actors seemed to be speaking English. Regardless, for arguments sake let's say they were speaking Italian it would be dubbed no matter what since in Italy they filmed with no sound than added everything in post-production.
So for this film and any Italian film with an option on the audio I always go with the English.
While most of the actors do speak English in the movie, I prefer the Italian dub with subtitles, for two reasons: I don't notice the lip sync is off as much when reading subtitles because I'm not looking at their lips as often or as closely. With the English dub, it's always extremely noticeable to me that the lip sync is off. And in the case of this particular reason, I also think the acting on the Italian dub is a lot better.
shareIt depends. The Italian dubs tend to be objectively better in terms of acting. However, I feel as though they lack the somewhat cheesy appeal of the English-language dubs, plus most of the English-speaking actors tended to dub themselves, so you have the benefit of hearing the actors' actual voices.
shareI am familiar with the work of Cameron Mitchell, and the English language version I saw seems to have dubbed Mitchell as well! I know it doesn't seem intuitive to dub an actor who already speaks English, but it didn't sound like his voice.
