Love the opening credits sequence

I quite enjoyed the opening credits - they really set up the film nicely. The use of shadows and colored lighting from odd angles gives each character quite a bit of definition. The effect was as if the viewer is browsing through an old deck of tarot cards. Very cool.

Yeah I just love the way that it introduces the whole style of this movie; the subtle mysterious music, the sexyness of the women, the colors, shadows, narrow corridors & tight spaces.. and I love those blood red female dummies.

The opening sequence is one of my favorites. I love the sleazy, jazz music and the way the characters are introduced. Blood and Black Lace is such a beautiful film.

Agreed. One of my favorite opening credits in a horror movie. Bava was really a genius. Everything about his films (well, most of them), even the opening credits, were mesmerizing

The theater is like a faithful wife. The film is the great adventure, the costly, exacting mistress

I liked the introduction too. The cast is presented with a nice back drop and the movie music.

Loved the opening sequence, especially with this crazy Mannequin Challenge sweeping the globe. An original and an attention grabber.

I came here to say the same thing. I'd love to have the soundtrack to this movie if I could find it.

I love it too!
It sets the tone so well, introduces the character, and works perfectly with the amazing score!

As imdb trivia suggests, this is how the executives planned to massacre the opening:

"For its original release in America the distributors disliked Bava's opening credits that showed the cast posed around the salon in a series of creative tracking shots. The distributors had new opening credits made that showed a series of macabre animations of mannequins being shot."
