Secret Invasion v/s Dirty Dozen

After seeing several reviews call Secret Invasion better that Dirty Dozen I had to open a thread. Like every Roger Corman movie I've ever seen, even good or great actors seem bush league in his movies. Now I don't know anything about making movies and I don't know if a shoestring budget results in getting the lowest quality out of you talent, but Roger Corman certainly does at any rate. The acting in Secret Invasion is terrible. The movie is pretty good actually but it can't stand in the shadow of The Dirty Dozen, which had better characters, better acting, better you name it.

I wonder why Corman took a vacation from insect/human hybrid movies which are fun to watch no matter how bad they are.

I like waking up in the morning not knowing who I'll meet or where I'll end up: The Titanic

This was a much better story line than the Dirty Dozen. The acting was excellent in both movies. But the original Dirty Dozen had copied this movie on the bottom line. They are both worth watching.

I liked Secret Invasion a little better, the international cast of characters was a little more interesting than just American GI's, and the smaller team size gave us more character moments. Plus what it lacks in Lee Marvin it makes up for in Henry Silva, he rocks!
