"camp classic"

when i first got the movie macabre dvd of this as it had just been released the opening made me think elvira wouldn't host this as usual seeing that animated doll like beginning before the feature, the movie macabre dvd cover of this looks really far out with an outrageous title, yet the actual movie seem to entirely take place in what looks like a kindergarten room along with stock footage, and i don't recall any other christmas movie with such stark colour, the title this movie got in my country is very average though, without all the extra by movie macabre this might just be that, a pretty average movie experience after all. one of the martians look like charlton heston, and i understand one of the children on mars is a well known entertainer, but i've only seen her as an adult in a naked gun movie, also the jolly martian look very recognisable but i'm not sure from where. this is being described as a classic and seems like a pretty well known movie, as i said it even got its own title in my language and i find quite accessible, yet i was completely unaware of it until movie macabre picked it up as part of their collection and is featured with another winter season movie which surprisingly is the first play option on the disc.
