"Hooray for Santy Claus" composer has died.

Milton DeLugg, the man who composed "Hooray for Santy Claus," passed away April 6 at the age of 96. He was also known for his long association with Chuck Barris and was musical director for a number of NBC shows, including briefly for Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. He was also musical director for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade until 2013.

"It's delightful, it's delicious, it's DeLugg!" is the best tribute I can think of.

I am a little late on the response, but this news is the Busdy Holly plane crash of our generation.

Aww, how very sad. Well, his song "Hooray for Santy Claus" will live forever. Especially in the minds of anyone who watches this movie because it is always stuck in my head for days every time I do.

I loved how MST3K brought up the spelling error in the song. "You spell it S-A-N-T-A C-L-A-U-S, hooray for Santy Claus. I noticed the very first view is the opening title page saying "Santa Clause Conquers the Martians". I think this movie is a cute alternative for the holidays.
