Wait, they talked in this movie?

As in Godzilla and Mothra? I had this when I was a kid, but don't remember that. I do remember Godzilla and Anguirus talking in Godzilla vs. Gigan, but I don't remember the talking here.

They communicate through their sounds.

I always liked that scene in this movie. I just wonder how that played in the original before the movie was translated into English. Is that just as corny in the undubed version?

There is more Gravy about you then the Grave. Scrooge.

They make their respective noises, and the twins translate. The funniest part was where they say something along the lines of "Godzilla, what horrible language!", but leave it to the viewer's imagination as to what expletive(s) he actually used.

He's a sea monster. Is it any wonder that he swears like a sailor?

Good point! Lol

I loved that scene, it was where they started humanizing the monsters a lot and fully embraced the fun of the era. I think the commnication thing was taken way to far in the American dub of Godzilla vs Gigan where they actually talked for a few scenes, but here it was a treat.

Yes they did, but we never got to see just how they learned to communicate with each other. Did they have a monster teacher?
