The Funeral

Interesting as I read the trivia section before coming here and read that JFK was shot the exact same day they filmed that funeral scene for Big Jim. I noticed the casket and flowers on top were in the shape of a car.

And what was the deal with the constant interruptions from the other funeral? I thought it was leading to something, like someone with a machine gun would leap out of the coffin at the other funeral. Surely we weren't simply being asked to laugh at the funny black people and their crazy ways? I'm not one of those people who searches for racism in everything but I didn't see the point of this.

I think it was more of a Contrast between the Two Funerals. One was a Deeply Respectful Religious Funeral where the one for Big Jim was more of a way of Paying respect for the Mob Boss.

What I thought was stupid is about twenty guys shot their guns in the air out of respect. Not even thinking about where their rounds would hit. Just saying, it's pretty stupid for a group of guys who supposed to be smart.
