Gorgeous.

Such a beautiful film. Almost every shot is eye candy. The colors, the music, all perfect! Everyone should see this film!

I have to wonder if Demy didn't shoot it in Technicolor due to financial constraints. According to Wikipedia, the film was able to be restored due to Demy's realization that it would fade and therefore subjecting some of the prints to a faux three-color Technicolor treatment.

There was no Technicolor shooting in 1964. The last 3-strip film was made in 1955.
This film has nothing to do with Technicolor, it wasn't even printed in that process.

Also, serious fading issues with colour negative should have been solved by that point, I wonder if it was shot on some older stock on the cheap or simply badly stored over the years.
