Noooooo - Genevieve had a more ethereal, timeless beauty, because she looks just like Catherine Deneuve, the most beautiful face in the history of faces.

Madeleine was very beautiful, though, and possibly - probably - more mature, self-sufficient, less flighty...so you may be right about Madeleine being the better "choice" (it was no choice for him, he loved Genevieve deeply), but she wasn't as beautiful, IMO.

Oh, you said "hotter" though...it's closer based on that instead of beauty, but I'd still say Genevieve.
