Teri Garr + Toni Basil Very Visible in DOROTHY LAMOUR's number

Trivia buffs might want to catch movie legend Dorothy Lamour's song number "In My Day" in this film not only for the legendary Miss Lamour but two of the dancers later became famous - Teri Garr is the second dancer (blonde in short dress), Toni Basil is the last dancer (in two piece bikini). Both of them have like 30 seconds on the screen where it's just them dancing and Miss Lamour singing and attempting to copy their moves. Amazing that Toni Basil had a pop hit nearly 20 years after this movie.

Teri Garr mentions this film in her autobiography. Toni Basil also has a small role in "Five Easy Pieces." I'd agree that it's amazing she had a pop career almost two decades after this film, especially because "Hey Mickey" is hands-down the most annoying song of the '80s in my book.

Yes it's fun to see Teri and Toni early in their careers but for me the biggest delight is seeing classic era movie queen Dorothy Lamour getting in there and twisting with the 60's pop era. This may have been one of the first examples of a star from a vintage era jumping in to a project clearly aimed at a younger generation. If they ever remake PAJAMA PARTY I'd love to see Ann-Margret or somebody like her in Dorothy Lamour's role.

The video link below, uploaded by Toni, shows both Toni and Teri in the same frame starting at 2:32. Toni is in the purple bikini shakin' it up, and Teri is in the yellow outfit.

Toni is also the featured dancer in the beach scenes starting the video. She's wearing the red bikini. Teri is seen in the background wearing a turquoise bikini.
